1. Family of Oshawa man missing five years offers reward Durham Ontario http://www.newsdurhamregion.com/article/ 154262

This poor family. It probably took them this long to raise money for the reward.

Just thought I would repeat some highlights:
Gary Newman disappeared in May, 2005

was reported missing by family in early May, 2005. Family members said he had not called them, which was out of character for him. He had left a message with a family member April 26, 2005.

He would now be 41, and was described as black, about five feet five inches tall, about 160 lbs., with a medium build. He had short, curly black hair and brown eyes, a front dental plate, which was broken, and a visibly cracked front tooth.

Police ask anyone with information to contact them at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 1738. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca or by calling 1-888-222-8477. Tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward.

I remember this case. It is strange that is have taken this long to get a reward going - but maybe they realise that whoever does know something needs to be motivated.

Pretty sad.
