Description: The Snowmass Adventure Camp & Film School combines world class wilderness adventure with documentary film making. During two week summer semesters our campers acquire back country survival and mountaineering skills while mastering fundamental documentary film making techniques. Each team of five campers will produce an original documentary film of their summit assault on a mountain in the heart of the Colorado Mountains. The Snowmass Adventure Camp & Film School teaches aspiring filmmakers how to tell their story, balance risk for reward and sometimes even touch the sky. We are dedicated to safety and excitement, filmcraft as an artform and dreaming big.
Give your teenager an adventure worth making a movie about... give them two weeks in the wilderness with a camera in their hands.
-The challenge of a lifetime for 13-17 year olds in the mountains surrounding Snowmass Village, CO.
-Adventure workshops in mountain climbing, wilderness and survival techniques, leadership and teamwork.
-Documentary film making workshops in writing, producing, filming, directing and editing.
-Work in teams of five to create a documentary of a summit assault up one of Colorado’s majestic peaks.
-Learn from certified mountain guides and celebrity film experts like Neil Beidleman and Mike Friedman.

Description: The LENS FACTORY gallery is hosting instructional photography camps this summer.
These five day workshops take place in a fun, informative atmosphere where students will learn the basic rules of digital photography, composition and editing. There will be ‘in studio’ instruction and viewing of the participants’ photos as well as outdoor photo excursions around the Beaches area.
Students will host a reception and exhibition at the end of the week where they will get an opportunity to display their photographs . Students also get to take home one mounted 18” by 24” print.
Snacks and refreshments are provided and a digital camera can be loaned if needed.
